Kate is deliberately trying to make me look bad, Jon Gosselin says, accusing wife of lying and hiding money

Kate Gosselin recently appeared on the Today Show to claim that Jon’s withdrawal of about $230,000 virtually left her unable to pay the bills and put food on the table. She’s just trying to play the media with this act, Jon is now telling People magazine, as she has money she made from separate deals put aside, hidden in bank accounts with her name on it. The hypocrite is Kate then, and not him, as she’s trying to make him look.

This is not the first time that Jon steps forward to make this kind of claim, namely that Kate has more money than she’d want the public to know of. Being the one who had full control over the family’s finances, Kate was also completely free to do what she saw fit with the money, Jon claims. As such, she has more than one bank account set up in her name, and she’s using them to hide money from him and, of course, the media, whom she’s trying to play to see things turn out in her favor.

“She’s hiding money. We have 11 bank accounts. That was just our joint account. She had a best-selling book. Where’s that million dollars? I believe she’s incriminating herself and not thinking clearly. She’s wanting me to look bad. I didn’t want these things to come public. I didn’t want this to be embarrassing for her.” Jon Gosselin says in response to Kate’s recent allegations that he had been draining the joint bank account, almost leaving her and the children to starve from lack of liquidities.

Moreover, the father of eight insists, Kate is grossly exaggerating things, again in a bid to manipulate the media and convince the world that things are worse than they actually are. As we also reported, Kate said that Jon withdrew $230,000 from the joint bank account, which left her only with $1,000 that was not near enough to pay the bills and put food on the table for the eight children they had. That is not the truth, Jon claims, because the only money he took out was with her consent and as part of an agreement they had made a long time ago.

“A total fabrication. I withdrew $22,000 last Thursday. I have the paper trail to prove it. I’ve never taken any money out because over 10 years, Kate handled all the banking. Over the past four years of doing the show, we accrued $2,250,000. She says in the past week I took $230,000. I have withdrawn roughly $177,000 over the course of a year, which is less than 10 percent of what we made. That’s like my paycheck.” Mr. Gosselin explains.

A judge is supposed to get to the bottom of this in a court hearing that will take place these following days.
