14 DAY TRIAL // Kate Gosselin is currently on the tenth season of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, apparently improving her performance, from what the judges are telling her. Since she’s doing better and is clearly enjoying public support – for not having been voted off the show until now – the original OctoMom, as she’s called in the media, has come to the conclusion that she would love a career in film, and is planning relocating to Hollywood to pursue it, says PopEater.
As per the report, citing unnamed but reliable sources, Kate is considering moving to Hollywood with the kids with the aim of launching a career in film. While this first part of the report seems accurate enough – it’s not long that Kate herself was saying she could see herself working towards a movie career, but was not desperate for one – the second part gets some eyebrows raised. Apparently, Mrs. Gosselin wants to be the next Jennifer Aniston, claims the source.
“Sources tell me that in between dance practices, Kate Gosselin has been house hunting in the Hollywood Hills for a mansion big enough for her and her eight kids. ‘Now that Kate has tasted the excitement of Hollywood, there is no way that she is going to return to Pennsylvania,’ a friend of Kate’s tells me. ‘She is looking at homes in the Hollywood Hills in gated communities in the $2 million range. Kate is insisting the properties she sees have a pool, at least six bedrooms, an outdoor hot tub and, bizarrely, a recording studio!’” PopEater writes.
“And it’s not just a home that Kate has been looking for in Los Angeles. Sources tell me she has been meeting with agents, managers and publicists. ‘Kate wants to be a movie star,’ one insider tells me. ‘Kate thinks that after Jennifer Aniston’s last few films didn’t do so well, America needs a new girl next door. And who better to fill Jen’s shoes than Kate!’” the same e-zine further reports.
Still, a mother of 8 struggling to land television jobs in order to be able to provide for her children and still battling her ex in court over custody is not exactly one’s idea of “girl next door,” the same e-zine says. Then again, given the constant high interest in Mrs. Gosselin, it’s safe to say that anything is possible right now. Keep an eye on this space to see what becomes of this.
