14 DAY TRIAL // Fresh off her split from Jesse James, Kat Von D is clearly not ready to talk about it. The tattoo artist was supposed to make an appearance on Good Day LA to promote her reality show, but walked out of the interview because of a single mention of the breakup from James.
As the video below will confirm, Kat went to the trouble of coming into the studio for the interview, but then got up and left without as much as an explanation.
The hosts of the show were left confused by her gesture, not understanding what they did wrong. At one point, the producer of Good Day LA comes in to say that Kat’s only request – for them not to mention Sandra Bullock or Michelle McGee – was duly taken into consideration and respected.
Because of this, the three hosts conclude that Kat must have been upset by the fact that they showed a clip from her reality show in which she presents now ex-fiancé Jesse James with a surprise present: a tattoo of his face on her ribcage.
Either way, Kat walked out of the interview and never came back.
After the disaster – Good Day LA is a live show – the tattoo artist took to Twitter to explain what it was that got her so upset: it wasn’t the fact that the clip was shown, but host Jeff Michael’s mention of the split in the intro.
“Dear GoodDayLA, thanks for the waste of a perfectly good morning. Lack of compassion n respect for eachother never fails to dissapoint me,” she writes on her page.
“I didn’t walk out because you used the clip we sent you- I walked out because of your disrespectful intro you guys ‘snuck’ in,” she adds.
She also told TMZ that this was her only request (it was her publicist who asked producers not to bring up Sandra or McGee): not to mention the breakup from Jesse James in the intro.
“Publicly disrespecting people for the sake of better ratings isn’t something a person of compassion does. Good day,” Kat adds on her official Twitter page.
As we also informed you the other day, Kat and Jesse James broke off their engagement and are no longer together. He said it was the distance between them that made it impossible for them to work out their differences.
