In the United Kingdom

It seems that the reign of Modern Warfare 2 on the United Kingdom chart is over, with Just Dance, a casual dancing simulation title from Ubisoft, holding on tight to the number one spot in the United Kingdom videogame chart. The game is easy to pick up and play and offers a variety of pop hits from the 80's, 90's and the current decade, attracting a lot of players who seem to be a bit tired of just shooting enemies in the face.

Modern Warfare 2, created by Infinity Ward and published by Activision, can take some comfort in the fact that it managed to take over second place from Wii Fit Plus from Nintendo, which now sits in third.

Army of Two: The 40th Day from EA Games, a cooperative shooter that takes place in a bombed out Shanghai, continues to occupy the fourth place and is stalked by Wii Sport Resort from Nintendo, which is watching for a sign of weakness to allow it to climb one place.

FIFA 10 from EA Sports Games continues to perform well, climbing two places to number six, while New Super Mario Bros. Wii from Nintendo made the biggest gains of this week, coming in at number seven after ending the previous one in 11. James Cameron's Avatar: The Game also gained one place, as did Assassin's Creed II from Ubisoft, which has just been announced as coming on the PC on March 16, four months after its console release date. Mario Kart Wii closes up the top ten, coming from 12.

Two titles dropped out of the top ten, Darksiders, the war featuring action adventures published by THQ, went from 6 to 11, as players quickly got tired of its mix of mechanics taken from popular titles like Zelda and God of War. Meanwhile, Bayonetta from SEGA also went down fast, from 7 to 14.
