14 DAY TRIAL // Jon Gosselin, the other significant half of the couple that America and the word met via their own reality show, “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” detailing their life as a couple and parents of eight, is slowly moving away from his image as Kate’s husband. The best way to do so, of course, is to start his own reality show, as E! Online says he’ll be doing any minute now.
Jon is flying solo on this adventure, though, so there will be no Kate involved, and perhaps no Hailey Glassman and no Kate Major either. Unnamed sources are telling E!, presumably from solid inside knowledge, that Gosselin is trying to capitalize on the divorce scandal as best as he can, by using it to jumpstart his own career. Since he has little other talents, it seems Jon is convinced television is the way to go in his case.
“Jon has a lot of things going on now with his career. Of course his main concern is his children, but he is focusing on his private and his professional life. He is looking into some major international endorsement deals and it looks like he is going to have his own show.” the unnamed, but reliable source says for E!. As of now, though, Jon has to wait for a while before starting to make plans for his own reality show, since he’s still contractually bound to TLC for 30 episodes of “Jon & Kate Plus 8” of the 40 the network ordered.
In the meanwhile, as he’s sorting out his career and plans for the future, it seems Jon is terribly confused when it comes to his personal life. As you may remember, late last week, Kate Major resigned from her position as editor for Star magazine, saying she had a conflict of interests, what with going out on a date with Gosselin and falling in love with him and working for a tabloid. As Major insisted she and Jon were an item and very much in love, he was saying they had not even gone out on a date.
Depending on who asks him, Jon continues to send out mixed signals. “My heart is always with Hailey [Glassman].” Gosselin tells Us Magazine when asked about the Kate Major rumors, thus making it clear that they are still a couple. “At this point... I’m single – per se. I’m just a regular guy who just wants to have friendship and good times. And I like meeting people. [Glassman]’s always a good friend of mine. Her family is so good. They took me in and I lived there for a while. I love them to death.” Jon shares for People about whether he’s in a relationship or not.
