14 DAY TRIAL // With all evidence pointing to the contrary, former tabloid editor Kate Major, also known as Kate 2.0 in the media, insists she and relatively recently separated Jon Gosselin are actually an item, albeit they’ve taken a break to have him put his thoughts in order. As Jon is saying on one side that he’s with Hailey Glassman and never cheated on her, Major tells E! Online they did date and he does have feelings for her.
Just a few days ago, Major was insisting that she and Jon were still an item two weeks after she had resigned from Star magazine citing a conflict of interests for falling in love with the guy she was supposed to interview. She had fallen for him head over heels and he too had feelings for her, so much so that Major was certain that there was not a bad thing to be said about the father of eight. Now, the former editor admits that they might be on a break of sorts, with Jon needing time to think things through.
“I definitely think Jon has feelings for me and cares about me a lot.” Major tells E! somehow completely oblivious to the fact that, less than a week ago, Jon Gosselin was publicly professing his love for Glassman, vouching he had never cheated on her. “This time I'm not sure what he wants to do... I mean, who can really close the book at 32?” the former editor says of whether she thinks he might want to settle down with her or not.
“I think Jon just needs to spend time to himself. I mean, there are many days that I wish that I talked to him in person instead of over the phone. But that’s just the way it has to be right now, so if we’re better off as friends and that means that people kinda leave him alone and just let him be the dad that he wants to be, then I’m willing to do that for him.” Kate Major further explains.
As also noted above, it is not yet certain whether Gosselin really dated Major or not, with both sides telling completely different stories. Gosselin, as far as he’s concerned, only went out with Kate 2.0 once for a Star interview, after which he never saw her again. In the meantime, as it is already common knowledge, she resigned from her position with the tab and started doing the media rounds talking about an “affair” only she seems to have knowledge of.
