In her Golden Globes 2012 speech, Jodie Foster came out as lesbian without actually saying the words but, nonetheless, confirming a rumor that had been making the rounds for years. She’s now found love again, after her 2008 split from Cydney Bernard, reports say.

Jodie and Cydney are co-parents to two boys and were together for 20 years. They never discussed their reasons for breaking up or, for that matter, the fact that they were a couple.

E! News is now reporting that Jodie is ready for love once more, this time with photographer and occasional actress Alexandra Hedison.

Alexandra, for those who did not catch her on 3 seasons of “The L Word,” dated Ellen DeGeneres for 3 years until 2004, when she met and later married Portia de Rossi.

The two have been “quietly dating” for several months now, with one insider dishing for the tab that, “It's pretty serious. They're totally in love.”

“Internet chatter about the two began in the summer when the two were photographed together at a technology seminar at Fox Studios in Los Angeles and out to dinner with friends a few days later. Both were at the opening of Alan Cumming's Macbeth in NYC back in April, but they weren't photographed together,” the e-zine continues.

As noted above, Foster came out of the proverbial closet at the prestigious industry awards, where she was honored for her lifetime achievement with the Cecil B. DeMille award.

Instead of thanking the usual people stars thank when in such situations (managers, directors, colleagues, staff, parents, children), the actress used the occasion to come out – sort of.

“I’m just going to put it out there, loud and proud, right? I am… single. I’m kidding. I came out a long, long time ago,” she said, adding that her friends and family knew the truth from day one so there was no reason for her to go public with it as well.
