Activision is announcing that starting with November 13, their recently launched Guitar Hero World Tour will be getting some very interesting downloadable content in the form of tracks from guitar legend Jimi Hendrix and from The Raconteurs.

Jimi Hendrix is already part of the Guitar Hero World Tour game as a playable character. The tracks which will be available in less than a month will be: blues classic “If 6 was 9”, rhythm and blues favorite “Little Wing” and a live version of “Fire”.

The Raconteurs will also be bringing three tracks to the game on November 20. The songs “Salute Your Solution”, “Hold Up” and “Consoler of the Lonely” are taken from the Consolers of the Lonely album and are perfect for those looking for some good tracks to rock to.

The Raconteurs Track Pack and the Jimi Hendrix Track Pack will be available on both Xbox Live Marketplace and on the PlayStation Store. If you are playing Guitar Hero World Tour on the Xbox 360, then you will need to shell out 440 Microsoft Points for the tracks while on the PlayStation 3, you will pay 5.49 dollars. The songs from The Raconteurs will also be available as stand alone, with the addition of the Nintendo Wii as a platform for the DLC, each track costing 200 Wii Points.

At the moment, Guitar Hero World Tour has some issues, mainly related to the way the drum kit works. The pads seem to be calibrated wrong, with harder hits required to activate some of them. Activision is saying that a calibration kit will be made available so that players will be able to take care of any problem themselves. The company is also promising that instruments which are now sold as part of bundles will be free of all issues because the manufacturing process has been tweaked.
