Star will use her own experience to show ladies the kind of pressure put on them

Pop and country music star Jessica Simpson is currently working on her return to reality television, with a show that will presumably help her capitalize on the highly mediated “fat-gate” of a couple of months ago, when she was caught in the middle. The program will see Jessica and her friends traveling the country to show the world the kind of pressure women are under to look good, as Us Magazine can confirm.

Sources reportedly close to Jessica are saying the star is really putting all her hopes in this next endeavor, especially in a context in which her transition to film has been much derided in the media, her country career sank even faster than her pop one, and she is now left with little options in terms of keeping herself in the spotlight and continue cashing in the checks. Using her recent experience in the media, where she was image bullied more than any other female star of our times, will reportedly help her get her name back on the map, insiders claim.

“She and a friend set off on a road trip around the world in search of what people find beautiful and why.” one source tells the mag of the upcoming show, which will reportedly be called The Price of Beauty. Jessica will be involved in it every step of the way, since she now knows what it’s like to be forced into doing something to her appearance to be more accepted by society, the spy adds. Moreover, she will even do some of the “shocking things that women do to make themselves beautiful. Picture Fear Factor.”

When contacted for details, a spokesperson for Jessica Simpson confirmed for Us Magazine that the star was, indeed, working on a new reality show. However, since no deal has yet been finalized with a network, he was not able to discuss the theme of the show or in which capacity Jessica Simpson will be involved in the project. Specifics on it should surface in the media soon enough, though, as reports have it that the star is already pitching the program to major networks, which means she’ll have an answer from them in almost no time.

As fans must remember, Jessica Simpson’s first brush with reality television was with “Newlyweds,” in which she appeared next to then-husband Nick Lachey. On the same note, if Jessica’s comment on tuna being the chicken of the sea can still be held as an indication of how she acts before the cameras, the upcoming show should prove to be nothing short of insanely fun.
