Because she gets bored so quickly, she says

She might be confused about whether “asks” is a real word or not, or about the fact that tuna might be chicken, but when it comes to the ideal man, Jessica Simpson knows what she wants. And what she wants is a guy with brains – and possibly an artist too – so that she doesn’t get bored when with him, she tells Extra in a new interview.

Until not long ago, Simpson was dating Tony Romo, with whom she even had plans of starting a family, as reports would have it. The breakup was not among the “clean” ones, in the sense that, shortly after Jessica moved out of the house they had shared, he put up a sign on the gate saying that she was not to be allowed on the premises anymore. Luckily, the former country singer has gotten over the heartbreak caused by the end of the relationship, and is now looking for love again.

This time, she also knows for a fact what she wants. “I don’t want to get bored. I can bore out pretty easily, so I love intellectual men... people that will always keep me intrigued. I definitely love a spiritual man – somebody that is going to always inspire me. And, you know, I love artistic men – somebody that really understands their art. I like a confident man.” Simpson tells Extra.

As critics also point out, for a woman who often makes headlines for the kind of things she says, which denote ignorance at best (if not more), why she’d be on the lookout for an intellectual man is beyond understanding. After all, Jessica did ask earlier this year, on her Twitter page nonetheless, if “asks” was a real word, they say.

“Love it when the lyric of a song asks me a question” Jessica initially wrote. Shortly after this post, she came back to wonder out loud whether she had used “asks” correctly, perhaps forgetting for a brief instant that the entire blogosphere would catch on to her slip-up. “Is ‘asks’ even a word? If not, sorry 4 my layziness [sic] with grammar.” she wrote. Be that as it may, Simpson insists in this new interview that she’s not letting all this negativity get to her. “What people say about me... all that stuff is not really important.” she says.
