First, there was the “fat-gate” we also told you about, and then she got dumped by fiancé Tony Romo on her very birthday – and that is on a personal level only, because she was also dumped by her record label and decided to take a break from music. Things are on the mend, though, E! Online has learned, and Jessica has found love once more.
And it’s in the unlikeliest of all places, the report claims: Jessica Simpson is dating Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan. Not only that, but sources even say for the aforementioned media outlet that the songbird is head over heels in love with him, and actually convinced that he could be the one. It’s safe to say at this point that Simpson is not considering Corgan just a rebound thing, insiders reveal.
“It seems Jessica Simpson, whose most recent relationship with quarterback Tony Romo experienced a bit of a fumble earlier this year, is now looking to make beautiful music with Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan. What reportedly started off as a mere crush has turned into something a whole lot more,” E! writes of the new couple. Although reps have refused to make any kind of comment, US paparazzi agency already have a photo of the two out for dinner this past Friday, which could confirm that they are actually dating.
“She has fallen hard and is smitten,” an unnamed tipster says for E!. Still, some of Jessica’s friends don’t see the affair with kind eyes, mostly because of the age gap (she’s 29 and he’s 42), and are sick of her always professing to have found “the one.” “He’s just another in an endless string of Jessica’s boyfriends. They think he’s too old for her. No one takes any of her boyfriends seriously anymore because she has had so many. They’re sick of all of them being ‘the one’,” another spy says for the same e-zine.
As also noted above, a first picture of the two together has recently surfaced on the Internet. Although having dinner together could mean anything from a simple business meeting to just friends hanging out, most US media outlets choose to see said photo as semi-confirmation of the two dating.
