14 DAY TRIAL // Jennifer Love Hewitt clearly has a background in horror stories, herself being part of a successful slasher franchise and a very popular television series with a similar scary plot. However, scary stories are not the star’s main hobby, since her biggest thing at the moment is vampire films – “The Twilight Saga” to be more specific, on which she’s desperate to land a part, as she tells Access Hollywood.
Hewitt was in San Diego at Comic-Con the other week to promote the upcoming season of “Ghost Whisperer,” where she plays the lead and, while there, she also caught up on her “Twilight” obsession. Speaking with Access Hollywood, the star admits that she’s had a crush on Robert Pattinson, who plays vampire Edward in the film, ever since she saw “Twilight” the first time. It's understandable then that she wants a part in one of the upcoming installments, even if she says so jokingly.
“I want a part so bad. Any part’s fine. I will be the vampire who carries Robert Pattinson’s luggage in the airport, that is the part that I will play if they need it. Jamie [Kennedy, her boyfriend] wants to play a werewolf, so we’re both putting it out there.” Hewitt jokes. However, even if she’s kidding when she says she wants a part in “Twilight” no matter whichever that may be, the actress is dead serious when it comes to her Pattinson obsession.
There is not a single girl in this world who has seen “Twilight” and is not on “team Edward,” Jennifer believes. Although it’s clear that “team Jacob” has increased in numbers ever since the young actor hit the gym, went on a diet and packed more muscle mass to better fit the part, “team Edward” is also constantly welcoming new members. However, if you ask the actress, whoever doesn’t like Edward must certainly be an alien or something.
“Who’s not Team Edward? There is not a girl in the world who’s not Team Edward! Have you met girls who are not Team Edward? Well, they are not girls! They’re aliens from another planet who should not be allowed to exist. I’d pass out [if I met him]. I can’t talk about it, ‘cause I’d pass out. It’s because he’s Edward. Listen, Edward can fly you through the forest. He’s like Aladdin with vampire teeth – there’s magic-carpet rides. He can sing. He can watch you sleep. He plays music. He sniffs your neck. I mean, please!” Jennifer Love Hewitt says of her Pattinson obsession.
