14 DAY TRIAL // Almost one week ago, word got out that American Idol producers were so disappointed in the poor ratings that they had actually planned to have Mariah Carey replaced mid-season with Jennifer Lopez, a plan they ditched only when Mariah found out and threatened to sue.
If that was ever the plan, Jennifer isn’t saying a peep.
Extra caught up with her on the red carpet at a recent event and, while she doesn’t rule out the possibility of returning to Idol sometime down the road, she doesn’t really want to talk about it.
Her “I can’t talk about that now” is what’s got me thinking that the report that she was in negotiations with producers to come back on the show as judge, was accurate.
There’s also something in her attitude that could support such a theory as well. She could have just said “no,” right?
