Jenna Jameson kicked off her birthday celebrations in the worst way imaginable, by getting herself arrested for battery. TMZ reports that she was handcuffed and booked hours before one early birthday party she was supposed to attend.

Fans must know that, for the past several years, Jameson’s personal life has landed her in the headlines more than once, particularly because of allegations of heavy drug use and alcohol abuse.

She always denied reports of this kind.

Whether she was under any influence when she reportedly assaulted someone over the weekend is yet to be determined.

“Jenna Jameson's bday celebrations got off to a rocky start – the star was arrested for battery Saturday night before her shindig even kicked off,” TMZ reports after speaking to police sources.

“Jameson was hanging out in the Balboa Peninsula neighborhood of Newport Beach around 8 pm when she allegedly battered someone. We're told the alleged victim put Jameson under citizen's arrest and then flagged down a police officer,” the same media outlet notes.

When the police officer arrived, Jameson was cited for battery and released afterwards. She wasn’t taken to the police station.

“Jenna was supposed to attend an early birthday party at Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim later that night (real bday is April 9). No word if she made it or not,” TMZ further says.

Last year, Jameson was arrested for DUI after she crashed her car into a pole.

Two years ago, she and her former partner and the father of her two children, Tito Ortiz, were involved in a huge scandal, which saw him arrested for assault.

He denied all the claims made against him, insisting that what appeared to be signs of abuse on her body was nothing but the result of his trying to make her understand she had an addiction to painkillers, as we also reported at the time.
