Until not long ago, they seemed to be a match made in (Las Vegas) heaven: Tito Ortiz was in love with Jenna Jameson, he was also the father of her two children, and he had vouched, though not in front of a priest, to protect her for the rest of his life. Yesterday morning, Ortiz was arrested after he allegedly lashed out at Jameson, tore the ligaments in one of her arms, and concerned neighbors called the police, MTV News informs.

Incoming reports continue to be contradictory: what is known is that someone called 911 and Ortiz was taken into custody with his hands handcuffed behind his back. A bail was reportedly set for $50,000, which TMZ says Tito paid shortly after his arrest and walked out of prison. However, he cannot return to the home he and Jenna and the twins shared, for a restraining order has been issued in his name, which is common for domestic violence cases.

“UFC fighter Tito Ortiz was arrested Monday (April 26) in Huntington Beach, California, accused of felony domestic violence against the mother of his twin boys […]Jenna Jameson. TMZ reported that Jameson had ‘visible injuries’ when police arrived on the scene following an early morning 911 call – allegedly placed by Jameson’s father – that sent authorities to investigate a disturbance at the home she shares with boyfriend Ortiz,” MTV says.

After being released on bail, and while Jenna herself was heading out of the home she’d shared until not long with Tito, the fighter gave a press conference in which he argued that the incident was fueled by Jenna’s addiction to painkillers, TMZ reports. As per his own words, there was no assault to speak of: he only wanted to make Jenna see that she had a problem and that she needed help, when she flipped out and caused a scene. He did not hit or push her around as she claims, he only shook her once or twice, the fighter stated.

“Tito Ortiz and his attorney claim Jenna Jameson is addicted to Oxycontin – and they say that’s what led to the alleged incident that got the MMA fighter busted for felony domestic violence. […] Tito’s attorney Chip Matthews said that Jenna’s been battling addiction to the painkiller for more than a year now, and that Tito and family members have been protecting her. As for what happened in Tito and Jenna’s home Monday morning – Matthews repeatedly said, ‘Tito never touched Jenna.’ He claims that Jenna had a relapse and that Tito confronted her about the drugs he claims to have found,” TMZ writes.

Jenna Jameson is looking to press charges for assault, word in the media also has it. At the same time, she also reportedly told paparazzi outside her home she was looking to give her relationship with Tito another go – as soon as the restriction order was lifted.
