Not a fully functional one, though

Incredible enough, a Japanese man has had enough determination to build his own iPhone from scratch. The device is actually a dummy that only resembles Apple's smartphone in terms of appearance, but not also functionality.

When the desire to own an iPhone is greater than the available resources, there is always a way to make both ends meet. The Japanese man had started working on his iPhone replica long before the announcements of an unlocked version of it being set to arrive in Hong Kong.

Had he known of this possibility, there are high chances that the man would have rather worked on making the money needed for purchasing the USD 2000 handset. Even more, this option would have also given him the chance of testing the smartphone's touchscreen, one feature that is not available in the dummy that he has created.

The Japanese man has also posted on a special website the entire process that he has undergone in order to build himself an iPhone. Moreover, his work is only based on the images offered by Apple on the internet, as he did not have the chance of actually owning such a device. This is probably the main reason which has triggered his determination into building one.

One thing that proves to be incredibly impressive is the fact that the Japanese man's replica of the iPhone looks identical to the real thing. That only up to the point where someone might take it in his hands and try to use it. The man has started working on it on the 5th of June, before it has even been released.

Now that the fully unlocked version of the iPhone has been released in Hong Kong, we still have to see whether the Japanese man will spend all his savings on it. Considering the high amount of passion that he has shown in his work on the iPhone replica, there are high chances that this will happen, even if that requires an extra financial effort from him.
