14 DAY TRIAL // Janet Jackson, married to billionaire Wissam Al Mana since 2012, is now looking to expand her family. She knows pregnancy is not a viable option for her anymore, an insider says, so she and her husband will adopt a child from a third-world country.
The singer refused to comment on the reports at the time of writing, but insiders confirm for Us Weekly that she’s “quietly” looking into adoption possibilities in Jordan, mostly.
She’s even reached out to Queen Rania of Jordan to assist her in the proceedings and “facilitate” them, says one of the insiders. We’re pretty sure that’s illegal, assuming the report is accurate.
“She now pretty much knows pregnancy is not in the cards, so she's been looking into adopting. She's been very moved by the events in Jordan and Syria now that she's been living overseas. Not sure how soon it will happen, but there's been movement on this,” says a source.
Admittedly, Janet wants to offer to a child a chance at a life she or he could not even dream of.
“Janet has always been concerned about the welfare of the world's children, and it's important to her that she affords a baby the opportunities that have been afforded her,” says another insider.
The first adoption rumors started making the rounds at about the same time when word got out that Janet and Al Mana had married in secret months before, in February this year.
Unnamed tipsters claiming to be close to the famously media-shy singer told the tabs then that she wanted a family and, more importantly, that she wanted it soon. She was already thinking about adoption as her only chance of getting that, it was said.
Before meeting Al Mana, Janet dated Jermaine Dupri for a very long time. She was just as secretive about her relationship as she is now so, if she does end up adoption a child, chances are her fans will only know about it much later after the fact.
