The recently released Jalou mobile phone from Sony Ericsson will also come to the market in a special edition, designed by Dolce&Gabbana. The clamshell has been crafted so as to deliver a beautiful facet cut jewel, while including style and substance both inside and out, the handset maker states. This new 73mm long mobile phone is set to deliver essential features to enthusiasts around the world. The special edition Jalou by Dolce&Gabbana comes with an exclusive packaging and accessories, including three silky rose satin bags aimed to offer protection for the handset, to enable users to easily carry the charger or jewelry around.

In addition, the phone also comes with a Dolce&Gabbana branded headset that sports gold accents. Moreover, it will be loaded with exclusive photography and video clips from Dolce&Gabbana's women's Autumn/Winter 2010 runway show, along with some images from backstage. A wide range of themes and wallpapers will also be available with the device, as well as RSS feeds to a Dolce&Gabbana blog. The Jalou by Dolce&Gabbana is expected to come to the market in the fourth quarter of the year exclusively in Sparkling Rose.

“It was a pleasure working with Dolce&Gabbana and we achieved a beautiful handset without compromising on style or content. Jalou by Dolce&Gabbana has all the great features of Jalou but with added special elements such as 24 carat gold plating and exclusive Dolce&Gabbana content. It's the handset for someone who wants that something extra. Both handsets are perfect for anyone who is sociable, loves fashion and wants to stay one step ahead of trends, because they have a fashion forward design you will want to show off. And, for such a compact handset, it has an immense amount of detail both inside and out,” stated Linda Schori, marketing business manager at Sony Ericsson.

The new Jalou by Dolce&Gabbana will come with the same features the Jalou by Sony Ericsson will sport, including two displays, with the possibility to turn the internal one into a mirror through the push of a button, the Walk Mate step counter, a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper with video recording capabilities, Bluetooth connectivity, built-in FM radio, music player, IM and email support, as well as an Internet browser that will enable users to watch videos on YouTube or to upload photos and videos on their favorite social networking sites.
