Falconbird is definitely a familiar name for those of you interested in camcorders, so you’ll be glad to know that JVC introduced this chipset into a new series of compact camcorders.

The new models are the GZ-V590 and GZ-V570 as well as the E265, and the E225 and E220, the latter being part of the company’s GZ-E Series.

Specs wise, the former pack 10x optical zoom and 64GB or 32GB of internal memory, while the latter boost the optical zoom to an impressive 40x, while featuring 32GB of storage in the E265 and 8GB in the two other models in the series.

The real star of the show is however the Falconbird image engine that JVC says is powerful enough to handle not only heavy duty HD recording but also 4K2K videos.

Sadly, we don’t know when any of these camcorders will arrive in Europe or the US, but as Akihabara News reports, they were already announced in Japan.
