After weeks of speculation and a couple of blurry photos supposedly showing Taylor Swift and new beau Jake Gyllenhaal out on coffee dates, fans have confirmation: the two are pictured together in the latest issue of Us Weekly, complete with an insider’s account of the blossoming romance.

According to the mag, which can boast of officially being the first publication to run pics of the two acting like a couple, they have been dating for 5 weeks – and their relationship is getting more serious by the day.

As the cover reads in large bold letters, Jake and Taylor (seen holding hands and laughing happily), have “graduated” from discrete lovers going out on secret dates to lovers who have already met each other’s parents and are not afraid of commitment.

The print issue of the mag (story via here) also claims the two are spending as much time together as they can, including on Thanksgiving, when she ditched plans with her family to be with Jake.

“All it took was a special offer from Jake Gyllenhaal, and Taylor Swift scrapped her long-scheduled, well-deserved Thanksgiving break with her family,” Us writes.

Her parents weren’t happy about the decision, of course, but she explained to them that she gets to spend a lot of time with them, while she can’t do the same with Jake because of all the media attention.

“Jake invited her to New York. It wasn’t planned in advance, but she said, ‘Why not? I can do it, and I’m going’,” says a spy.

“Her parents weren’t thrilled. But she explained to them that she gets to see them all the time and wasn’t able to spend time with Jake during the publicity madness,” the same insider goes on to say.

The relationship is becoming serious – and there’s a lot of feeling on both sides, the spy reveals.

“Jake likes her, no doubt. Taylor is obviously really into him to be doing all this. She loves his family and he loves hers. It’s definitely serious,” other sources familiar with the romance say for the same publication.
