When it comes down to LGA 1155 motherboards these last few days have been really generous with us, all sort of boards from different manufacturers making their appearance, but not that many other infos regarding future Sandy Bridge processors have come our way, until now that is, as it seems that some notebook players have spilled the beans over the future Sandy Bridge based Core i7 and Core i5 mobile processors.

This latest report comes from Digitimes and cites unnamed “notebook players,” to reveal five new Sandy Bridge processors that will make part of this product family.

According to the sources, these new low-power processors will be named, Core i7-2640LM, 2620LM, 2630UM, 2610LM, and Core i5-2530UM and will make use of the future Huron River platform.

Clock speeds, or any other infos regarding their performance, are not known at this time, although it's pretty safe to bet these will feature the same, or a somewhat lower power envelope, compared to the current low-voltage processors offerings, Intel's present day ultra low-voltage CPUs coming in with an 18W peak power consumption when including the chipset, while the low-voltage models draw 25W.

These five offerings will accompany the already leaked Core i7-2920XM, 2820QM, 2720QM, 2620M, and Core i5-2540M and 2520M to form Intel's complete line-up of Core i7 and Core i5 mobile processors, Intel also planning to launch a Celeron CPU coded B801 for the entry-level notebook market.

As stated earlier all these chips will come as part of the Huron River platform which consists of a 32nm Sandy Bridge processor and QS67/QM67 chipset, that also comes with support for Intel's Wireless Display (WiDi) technology as well as 802.11n high-speed wireless connectivity.

The same source states that notebook manufacturers are getting ready to cut the prices of their Calpella-based models in the first quarter of 2011, preparing the market for their Huron River-based laptops that should be scheduled for launch in the same quarter, probably during CES in January.
