Although regular projectors can handle pretty much everything that the average Joe can send its way there are more complex solutions out there that cater to the special needs of professional users, InFocus just unveiling two new HD large venue projectors that pack an impressive punch.

Coming as new additions to the IN5500 series, the IN5533 and IN5535 are built to satisfy the demands of professional AV installers, allowing them to choose from five different lens options, ranging from short throw to ultra-log throw, while also offering motorized horizontal and vertical lens shift as well as automatic sensors specially designed to eliminate optical distortions.

Featuring an DLP DarkChip as well as a six-segment color-wheel these new InSight offerings should deliver an improved picture quality while the dual lamp setup used, offering up to 6,000 lumens of brightness, will most definitely deliver film-like images even in rooms with high ambient light.

Connectivity wise, both projector come with HD15, HDMI 1.3, VGA, USB, BNC and component inputs as well as being wireless-ready thanks to InSight's own LiteShow III technology.

Adding to their connectivity capabilities, these two projectors also embed Ethernet networking and the RS232 standard for full projector management and room control system integration.

A split screen feature is also present in both of these projectors, the only thing that sets them apart being their native resolution, the N5533 using the WXGA (1280x800) standard while its older brother pushes 1920x1200 pixels, both of them using the 16:10 aspect ratio.

“We wanted to offer a premium display solution that will create images almost anywhere an installer can dream up,” says Benjamin Joy, Director of Product Management for InFocus.

“With incredible flexibility, high performance and all-around great styling, the IN5500 is a very smart choice for a wide range of organizations and needs.”

Both projectors are available with multiple color skin options in order to blend in with their environment, the IN5533 being available now while the IN5535 will get released in November.
