Quite affordable for the features, but expensive considering the mediocre design

IKEA launched the Uppleava “TV stand” just last month and today it is finally available for retail in Europe. The price of the 24” model is starting at 960 USD.

That means around 755 EUR for the non-demanding European furniture buyers, and the price goes up once the diagonal screen size increases.

For those that need a reminder, the Uppleava comes with a HDTV screen and a Blu-ray player integrated, as well as with a 2.1 audio system that features a “wireless” subwoofer.

We still haven't received confirmation from IKEA, but we believe that only the audio signal is transmitted wirelessly, as the power cord to fuel the subwoofer is likely still there.

The US IKEA fans must wait until next year to get the oddly-named piece of furniture or they can have their European friends from France, Germany, Italy, Poland and Sweden buy and send them one, as Uppleava will be available in these countries in the next two weeks.
