Recently acquired by Lenovo, German electronics manufacturer Medion made quite an impression at this year's IFA trade fair.

In light of the new acquisition by Lenovo, it appears that Medion decided to enter the Android market with two devices aimed at both tablet and smartphone users.

Dubbed LifeTab P9514, the upcoming Medion tablet comes with a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen display with support for 1280 x 800 pixels resolution.

Even though we were present at the company's booth a few days ago, we weren't able to spot any of the two Android devices, which were probably showcased at a later date.

Instead we took some pictures and reported on the latest Life E6111 and Life P6213 eReaders launched by Medion during IFA 2011.

Although we weren't impressed by the features and the overall build of these e-readers, we would have been excited to check out the new Android devices announced by Medion.

However, it appears that the guys over at Pocket-lint weren't allowed to take pictures or videos of the new products.

Furthermore, both devices were solidly attached by their tables, which probably made any attempts to check them out futile.

Even though both devices are off-limits, even for the press, it seems that the company put quite an effort in making them attractive for consumers.

According to the guys over at Pocket-lint, LifeTab P9514, along with the mysterious smartphone are quite nice, assuming they're not just some mockups.

Medion's tablet comes with Google's Honeycomb 3.2 operating system, while the unnamed smartphone runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

It weighs 720g and features a Tegra 2 chip, along with 16GB or 32GB of storage. It looks like the company has yet to decide which model will be launched first, the 16GB or the 32 GB, but in the end there will be two versions of the LifeTab P9514 available on the market.

The tablet covers all connectivity options, including HDMI and microUSB ports, Wi-Fi, DLNA, as well as HSDPA support.

Medion's smartphone is a 4.3 incher and comes pre-loaded with the company's GoPal satnav application.

Few details about the phone's hardware and software configurations are available at this point, but both devices are expected to be released in Q4 2011.
