Android-based tablet PCs are everywhere these days, and it was only natural to find them at the IFA 2011 show in Berlin too. Among the devices present at the event, Softpedia's editors stumbled upon the Huawei S7 tablet, which runs under Googles' Android 2.1 Eclair platform.

The device might sport a rather old OS flavor, but it can still deliver the performance and capabilities that users would be looking for in such a device, not to mention that it does that in a very affordable form factor.

The screen of this device is of only 7-inches (boasting a 480 x 800 pixels resolution), while its specs list points at a 768 MHz application processor, yet that might not be a deal breaker for all users out there.

In the end, many are seeking affordability when it comes to choosing a tablet PC that can offer basic Internet features, video playback, and various other multimedia capabilities.

Amazon, for example, believes that a tablet PC with lower specs, and older OS flavor, but specialized features might attract a lot of users, and plans on releasing a 7-inch Kindle tablet with these functionalities inside.

However, the Huawei S7 Android tablet PC does not come to the market with only a few capabilities, but offers quite appealing connectivity capabilities too, as well as other fucntions.

For example, users will be able to expand its 8GB of internal memory via microSD memory cards, or can connect it to WiFi networks, and even to the airwaves of wireless carriers.

A low-quality photo snapper on the back of this device will provide users with the ability to record videos while on the go, and also to save important moments in their lives in images.

With this tablet, users will also be able to connect to the Internet and stay in touch with their friends and family via social networking sites. They will also be able to download and install applications on it.
