Heidi Montag unveiled, new surgically altered face that should help her get over her insecurities

Late last week, Heidi Montag, usually a fixture in the tabloid media, reemerged in the spotlight after an absence of almost two months. She also had a new face and a new body to show off, having undergone massive cosmetic surgery to help her get over her many insecurities. Her husband of one year, Spencer Pratt, though, is not at all ok with what she’s done to herself, as he says for People magazine.

Heidi and Spencer are often referred to as the two most self-centered and fame-hungry celebrities, yet it would seem that there is a limit to this even for him. Speaking to the magazine, Pratt reveals that he did not approve of so many surgical interventions and that he’s not necessarily happy with the outcome. Since he can’t fight it, because that would mean imposing his will over Heidi’s, he’s learned to accept that this is what she wants.

“Anytime I hinted that it might be a little much or if I just asked if she was sure, I even felt like I was crossing lines. I’m not in charge of what she does with any part of her body. I’m her husband – not her owner. But everyone sees themselves differently when they look in the mirror. Nobody truly understands how she feels except her. I may not be okay with things, but it’s not my call. Right after… it was the worst experience of my life. Nobody that loves a loved one should see that,” Pratt says of his wife’s many cosmetic surgeries.

He is not the only one to think that she might have gone a little overboard either, as we were also telling you just days ago. As criticism for undergoing as many as 10 surgeries in a single day continues to come Heidi’s way from the most unlikely of places, her own mother is reportedly also very set against her for doing this without as much as talking to her beforehand. Apparently, Montag did not keep this only from friends, but from her family as well and, sources are saying, her mother is none too happy about it.

“‘I still can’t believe I’m 23 and mom is reacting this way,’ Montag tells People. ‘I’m nervous to go home and face her – especially with cameras rolling.’ A source close to the family tells People that Egelhoff ‘is horrified and having a total breakdown. She can’t wait to confront Heidi when she goes home.’ Montag’s mom, who lives in Colorado where the reality star grew up, will get her wish soon. ‘Heidi is planning to head back to her small town of Crested Butte very soon,’ says the source,” People magazine wrote, as we also told you at the time.
