Hugh Jackman is funny. He’s also very talented and versatile, incredibly handsome, and in excellent physical shape, but we’re not considering this right now because he’s just given the most amazing interview ever, after traveling back in time to have a heart to heart with himself.

In the video below, courtesy of Yahoo!, Jackman goes back in time, much like his Wolverine character in the upcoming “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” to interview himself in 1999, before the first “X-Men” movie came out.

The two Jackmans talk about the comic book movie genre, career choices and tips, but they also talk a lot about how he, the older Jackman, is the best thing to happen to the movie industry since sliced bread happened to humanity. It’s a joke, of course.

What stands out about this interview, other than the fact that it proves how funny Hugh is, is the fact that one of his biggest regrets is ever doing “Movie 43.”

Billed an ensemble comedy or a collection of comedy sketches, “Movie 43” came out last year and included Jackman among the other A-listers on the cast. It failed to strike a chord with critics (it’s currently got a 4 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes), but also with fans.

If Hugh regrets it, no one can blame him, especially not his co-stars, who must feel the same.
