Despite reports that he’s in serious danger of dying from a “broken heart,” Hugh Hefner sure seems to be handling being left (nearly) at the altar just fine. Just the other night, the publisher made his first public appearance since the split from Crystal Harris – with three new ladies in tow.

Earlier rumors had it that Hefner was determined to bounce back from the failed relationship with Crystal, who called off the wedding five days before it was supposed to take place, and that he’d already found a replacement.

Her name was Anna Sophia Berglund, one of Crystal’s best friends, with many insiders saying she was immediately promoted to the rank of “number one girlfriend,” while the Shannon twins completed Hef’s trio of ladies.

The other night in Vegas, Hef confirmed ongoing reports, stepping out with Anna and the Shannon twins at a party, Too Fab reports.

Photos taken on the occasion leave no room for doubt as to the state of their relationship, it is being said.

Looks like Hugh Hefner has a new Number One girl: Anna Sophia Berglund.

“While Anna has been named as the gal keeping Hef company since Crystal Harris left him days before their wedding, last night they made their public debut together,” the e-zine notes.

It was the first time the two stepped out together as a couple.

“Hugh, 85, and Anna, 25, were seen sitting next to each other all night at the annual Kandyland event at the Playboy Mansion on Saturday... where Hefner wore his standard robe and Anna wore some [hot] cheetah print lingerie,” Too Fab says.

“The two were seen leaving the party together too. And it sounds like Anna isn’t the only one Hef’s seeing these days, as he tweeted yesterday ‘I haven’t been in a one-on-one relationship since the end of my marriage in 1998’,” the same e-zine reports.

While Hef’s moving on, so is Crystal, as we also told you yesterday. Now that she was told she could keep the $90,000, diamond engagement ring she got from Hefner, Crystal is trying to sell it off, hitting a jewelry store over the weekend to get an appraisal for it.
