14 DAY TRIAL // Perhaps in a bid to put to rest all those rumors that he’s at home dying of a broken heart, Hugh Hefner is already going public with the woman that will be taking Crystal Harris’ place, the one he was supposed to marry this past weekend.
She’s Anna Sophia Berglund, is one of Crystal’s friends and, of course, she’s a Playboy girl, it has emerged.
Though there are countless reports that 21-year-old Shannon twins, Karissa and Kristina, have already moved back in the Mansion, it would seem that Hef is making Anna his number one girlfriend, PopEater seems to hint.
“Who is this rebound girl? Whyyyyy, none other than Miss January 2011 Anna Sophia Berglund, who according to TMZ sources was spotted making out with Hef during a (had-to-be-very) recent movie night,” the e-zine says.
“It’s clear Hef has moved on to Anna,” unnamed sources say, confirming that Hefner and Anna are an item.
Moreover, as noted above, the twins Karissa and Kristina are believed to have moved back in the Mansion, also in a bid to rubbish reports that the iconic publisher is at home alone.
In fact, for a man who built an entire media empire on his player image, sitting at home pinning for Crystal would be very bad for business.
“You’d be mistaken if you think a guy like him is sitting at home (or in the grotto) crying while his ex celebrates in Vegas,” friends of Hef tell PopEater.
Of course, he’s heartbroken, but he doesn’t want the world at large to know that, the spies say.
“The entire Playboy brand has been built on his shoulders,” says another insider.
“The image of an old man sitting at home broken-hearted is bad for business. Hugh knows that what’s best for the brand is for him to start dating again no matter how much pain he is in,” the tipster reveals.
Seeing Crystal hit a pool party in Vegas precisely on the day she was supposed to marry Hef has further motivate him to choose another girlfriend to show off to the world.
