One of the few Huawei manufactured handsets in the United States, the Ideo is an entry-level Android smartphone, which will be available through T-Mobile carrier. The device is slated for a November 3rd launch, but under a different name – T-Mobile Comet.

Even though it's a low-budget device, T-Mobile Comet comes with Android 2.2 Froyo, the latest version of Google's OS and it is powered by a Qualcomm MSM 7225 528 MHz processor.

I think the Chinese manufacturer is trying to cover a particular niche on the market, those of affordable Android smartphone, where it has some important competitors, such as ZTE, and to some extent, LG Mobile.

Just to refresh your memory, here is what the Comet has to offer in terms of specs: 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen with 262k colors (240x320 pixels resolution) and accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, music and video player, Adobe Flash support, FM radio, as well as the Google package (Google Search, Maps, Gmail and Gtalk).

The affordable Android device can be tagged as a powerful connectivity tool, as it includes a wide range of connectivity tools: GPRS and EDGE class 10, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support, microUSB 2.0, GPS with A-GPS support.

T-Mobile Comet sports a 3.0-megapixel camera with video capture capabilities, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Obviously, the Comet will not compete with its high-end Android siblings, instead it will be an excellent alternative to any Galaxy S or HTC smartphone, but on the cheaper side.

The Android is expected to hit the shelves at the beginning of November, through T-Mobile network operator, but there's no info about its price tag yet.

If the phone will sell somewhere around $50 USD, this could actually be a pretty good deal for those that are looking to upgrade their old clunky phones.
