House Party, in collaboration with Sony, will offer its members the chance to hold three PlayStation Move parties to celebrate the launch of the motion controller. The party host and their guests will have the chance to be some of the first gamers to try out the PlayStation Move. All of this will be available for free, as those who apply don't even need to own a PlayStation 3 console.

House Party's offer nets those lucky few who are selected a party pack that will contain two PlayStation Move controllers and a PlayStation Eye camera, as well as three Move-compatible games, Sports Champions, The Shoot and Start the Party!. House Party will give players the chance to host these parties from August 2010 to January 2011.

House Party helps its members invite their friends and family to various product-promotion parties like this one by using its online tools. Furthermore, one can plan and promote the party by setting up a website for it, downloading party favors and receiving the free party pack from House Party. One can also explore various other parties occurring near them through the website.

PlayStation Move is Sony's answer to the motion-controller craze started by the Nintendo Wii. PlayStation Move is comprised of a wand-like motion controller and a navigation controller that will communicate with the PlayStation 3 through the PlayStation Eye camera. Sony is boasting one-to-one movement tracking, promoting it as the most precise device on the market. The company is also promoting Move to its core audience, while trying to expand its console's appeal to the casual segment of the video-game market. It will be interesting to see how Move will fare against its tough competition when it launches in September 2010.
