14 DAY TRIAL // For a very long time, Holly Madison was Hugh Hefner’s number one girlfriend and also the one believed to have the most odds to get the famous bachelor to settle down again. Now, Crystal Harris is engaged to him – and Holly is furious about it.
Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun-Times claims to have it from very reliable sources that Holly is quite heartbroken about news that the Playboy mogul is finally tying the knot – and she’s not “the one.”
According to friends speaking to the media under the cover of anonymity, Holly always kept hope alive that she would be the one to get Hefner to propose. When that didn’t happen, she believed it never would.
Which would explain why she’s so shocked 24-year-old Crystal got Hef on one knee asking for her hand in marriage, the spies are saying.
“Meanwhile, Hef’s ex – longtime galpal Holly Madison of ‘Girls Next Door’ TV show fame – is said to be very upset about the engagement announcement. She long tried to snare a proposal from Hefner herself,” Zwecker writes.
“She can’t believe Crystal was able to get Hef to agree to something she had tried for so long,” a spy says, confirming reports that Holy is jealous.
Apparently, even her fling with magician Criss Angel was nothing more than a trick to get the Hef jealous. When it worked and they reconciled, he still failed to ask her hand in marriage.
Speaking of which, a separate source says for the same columnist that there might not be a wedding in the first place, so Holly can just forget about it.
Hefner is too old for this and, even assuming he does eventually walk down the aisle with Crystal, he’ll not do so before making sure his money is well outside her reach in the eventuality of a divorce or, who knows, even death.
“While Hugh Hefner did just get engaged to 24-year-old Playmate Crystal Harris, sources close to Hef tell me they doubt there will be a wedding – just one of those typical, long-term Hollywood engagements,” the columnist writes.
If they do get married, “That prenup will be tighter than Cher’s most recent facelift!” another source explains.
