They want to change the way games are made

There are times when it seems that good things happen and this is one of them. Didn't you love all (or at least some) of these titles: Halo, Battlefield, Spider-Man, Midnight Club 2 or Viva Pinata: Party Animals? Of course you did, so did we! The good news is that some of the designers who worked for the development of such titles have decided to join forces and form a studio they called Tyrant, so we can already start dreaming about some goodies.

The executive producer is no other than Hardy LeBel, a guy with 14 years of experience in the gaming industry. Here are some facts about him: he worked as a designer for Vigilante 8, Lead Designer for Oni and Halo, he worked with game designers for Jade Empire and Dungeon Siege 2 as the Design Director of Microsoft Games. So, he definitely knows what a game needs in order to look great.

"We're excited to announce the formation of Tyrant and share our vision for the future of game development," said LeBel. "Our first project is the result of months of preproduction and planning - and with our collected experience, we believe we'll change the way games are made."

Well, to be honest, I don't really care how the games are made, as long as they offer a great experience for the gamers and I surely hope that is the case when it comes to Tyrant Studios. And it should be, since the Lead Designer is Anders Hejdenberg, who worked for titles like Battlefield 2 and Futurama. There are other 5 seven core members in the team and they already have an original IP in mind, set for development, but no details regarding the game were given. The guys over at Tyrant Studios are currently discussing with some publishers regarding the project and we will sure hear some more from them as soon as they sign a deal.
