Multiplayer and co-op fun

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was one of the biggest titles to appear for Sony's PlayStation 3 console, as it really showcased just what the big black box could do in terms of graphics and gameplay. Naughty Dog's creation really broke the mold and established itself as a premium single-player experience.

That is why, when we reported yesterday that the upcoming inFamous title would sport a voucher guaranteeing access to the beta stage of the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves multiplayer mode, a lot of people began to wonder if the developers at Naughty Dog had made the right choice with implementing such a mode in the sequel to the first game.

Now, Sony has revealed the first video of this side of Uncharted 2, showcasing the top-notch action that will be available for players online. The multiplayer mode will have two components, a three-player co-op mode – available for a separate side-story of the game, in which players will control the protagonist, Nathan Drake, and two other characters – and a classic one – where players will fight against each other in two modes, a classic Team Deathmatch and a revamp of the old Capture the Flag mechanic, entitled Plunder.

In Plunder, the players will battle to take control of a statue that, when transported, makes the player move much slower and only able to wield the pistol, meaning that it's up to his colleagues to help him out and protect him.

Even though a lot of people won't agree that Uncharted 2 deserved a multiplayer mode, from the video below, which was revealed by Sony, it definitely seems like a fun experience and something that will guarantee even more fans for the PlayStation 3-exclusive franchise. Enjoy watching it and, if it got you interested, you might want to pre-order inFamous for the voucher.
