Some new information about the Diablo-like, Action-RPG from Flagship Studios, Hellgate: London has come out. The new information deals with the factions present in the game, as we are unveiled one of three playable characters.

Hellgate: London will be published by Electronic Arts in collaboration with Namco Badai America and will come out sometime in 2007. Previously, the other two playable character classes have been revealed, namely Cabalist and Templar. Finally, the time for the third faction to be unveiled has come and - according to EA - this faction will be called The Hunter.

Bill Roper, Flagship Studios CEO, announced that auto-aiming and target-locking have been removed for the Hunter faction. He explains that this character class has been developed especially for FPS enthusiasts. Presumably, Hunters are some sort of ex-military secret operatives, and highly trained members of secret government agencies.

As the whole world faces the Demon invasion, Hunters change their spying ways and dedicate their expertise to help defeat the monsters threatening their world. The Hunters are meant to be obscure and mysterious characters, combining Assassin, Ninja and Ronin features, but they don't lack any fire-power.

Hellgate: London will feature some state-of-the-art graphics as it will have DX10 support, just like other famous games including Crysis, Bioshock and Halo2.
