Blizzplanet.com website posted an interview made via an public IRC chat by Blizzplanet's Medievaldragon, with the author of Diablo: The Sin War, Book One: Birthright, Richard A, Knaak. The interviewer tried to trick Knaak in revealing any information about the long awaited Diablo III.

The most conclusive information that reveals that Diablo III will come out soon is Knaak's reply when asked if his book would has ramifications in the third installment in the Diablo series. He replied that the ramifications in the book will be used in any future project and that he is not writing for a dead game. Do you need any further clarification? I know I don't.

Furthermore, Knaak added that Blizzard is very eager to make Diablo fans happy. Couldn't he just come out and say it? Diablo III will be released! SOON! (At least I hope so).

We are not even sure if the third installment in Blizzard's hack and slash series will be called Diablo III. The first Diablo game was released back in 1996, and because of its tremendous success, an expansion pack called Hellfire was released in 1997. The year 2000 marked the release of Diablo II, title that also had its expansion pack, Lord of Destruction in 2001.
