14 DAY TRIAL // Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have put divorce proceedings on hold – and are now back together again, as photos taken on a trip to the zoo can confirm.
In May this year, the reality television couple announced they were taking some time apart from each other to solve some issues. Divorce was not an option yet, they said.
Shortly afterwards, amidst intense speculation that they were faking their separation in a bid to draw attention onto themselves and thus make more money, Heidi filed the papers for divorce.
Neither openly explained what exactly was wrong with their marriage that prompted them to go their separate ways, which only came to boost rumors that the split was faked.
TMZ says the recent photos of the two together, holding hands and kissing over champagne, are probably the best indication the two tried to play the media by staging their breakup.
“This photo pretty much proves Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt aren’t getting divorced... and may also make you lose your breakfast,” TMZ writes.
“The gruesome twosome just happened to be photographed while kissing on Heidi’s 24th birthday in Santa Barbara yesterday – while Montag proudly displayed her wedding ring,” the same report notes.
As we also informed you on several past occasions, after filing the papers, Montag moved to Costa Rica, while Pratt remained in Malibu, in the house he once shared with Heidi.
However, in recent weeks, he’s been photographed visiting Heidi quite a lot, which, again, sparked talk of a possible reunion in the making.
This was also fueled by Montag telling the media, shortly after Pratt’s reported arrest for trying to enter Costa Rica with two handguns on his person, that a divorce was the last thing on her mind.
Apparently, she and Spencer had decided to give their marriage another go and just take life as a couple step by step – and see what comes out of it.
Right now, Heidi and Spencer are yet to make an official announcement of their reconciliation. Knowing them, it will probably come in a matter of hours, so make sure you keep an eye on this space.
