There is plenty of room for improvement

The PlayStation 3 is one of the most powerful consoles out there, capable of rendering some truly high-quality titles. Sadly though not many of these have really wowed the normal gamers, who are getting a bit bored of seeing different shades of gray or brown in many of their titles.

But one game that will certainly push the Sony console to its limits will be Heavy Rain, developed by Quantic Dream exclusively for said device, which can boast almost photorealistic graphics and some very innovative types of gameplay.

But the title can be topped, at least according to the CEO and founder of Quantic Dream, David Cage, who talked about the title at last week's GamesCon, held in Cologne, Germany. He revealed that his team had much more exploration to do on the PS3 in order to really exploit all of its features and traits.

“Well, you need to keep in mind that Heavy Rain is our first title on PS3,” Cage said, when asked if Heavy Rain would be the best-looking Quantic Dream title for the platform. “It's not the second or third generation of games on the same platform. We've just discovered the platform right now. So yeah, there's plenty of room for improvement I'm sure. At Quantic Dream we know we can do much better than what we do here.”

Out of the many games that were displayed at GamesCon last week, the developer diaries revealed about Heavy Rain were some of the most impressive, showcasing not only some stunning graphics but also a gameplay that was on the verge of realism, in which the actions of the player had a great impact on the whole story told in the game.
