Rumors about a Hasselblad Solar camera go back to October 2013 and, at that time, trusted sources stated that the new digital camera would be based on the Sony A7 interchangeable lens model.

Recently, PhotoRumors has received a picture that shows what appears to be the new Hassleblad Solar model, but with a completely unexpected design based on the current Sony A99.

At first glance, the camera doesn't seem to have the same luxurious finishing touches as the Lunar or Stellar models, but you can be sure that it will come with a hefty price.

In addition to that, Hasselblad has just announced world's first medium format DSLR to feature a 50MP CMOS sensor. Usually, medium format cameras come with a large CCD image sensor.

The company announced that H5D-50c has a longer shutter speed, faster capture rate, higher ISO sensitivity, Multi-Shot functionality, and improved Live Video in Phocus.
