Speaker system might not exactly be the right name for what Harman Kardon built recently, since that name is often used for everyday speaker sets and such and that is definitely not what the MS150 is.

Audio products come in many forms nowadays, some of which go beyond the regular blueprint when it comes to their full set of features.

While audio playback is the mandatory element for any speaker or speaker dock, some items go beyond the call of duty, so to speak.

The Harman Kardon MS 150 is one of these less than ordinary electronic devices.

In fact, it can be described as a combination between an iPhone dock, a CD player, an FM tuner and even a connectivity hub.

Granted, even though it is already available, it will set people back by a hefty $600, which is about the same as 443 Euro.

For those who want to know exactly what they are in for, the above mentioned dock functions are joined by headphone jacks and a subwoofer output, plus other auxiliary connectors.

It even boasts an LCD (liquid crystal display) that indicates the intensity of the sound being produced. Finally, a remote control is conveniently included in the bundle.

"Our customers have high expectations when it comes to audio gear, and the Harman Kardon MS 150 is sure to delight the most discriminating listener," said Sachin Lawande, EVP and co-president of HARMAN's Lifestyle and Infotainment divisions.

"It's a powerful, exquisite system that is a complete, high-performance stereo. It looks beautiful in any room, but more important, brings vitality to sound from a CD, iPhone, or Android smartphone."

Harman Kardon makes various audio products, not the least of which are speakers used in laptops, like Toshiba's Satellite P745.
