Bungie has just removed the rank cap in its newest and most successful game to date, Halo: Reach, after gamers plowed their way through more than 117 million Daily and Weekly challenges.

Halo: Reach was launched back in September and even though it was exclusive to the Xbox 360, sold a lot of copies around the world and quickly became the most played game on Xbox Live.

Bungie, the game's developer, already released a few updates to fix some balancing issues, and is getting ready to release the first piece of paid downloadable content, in the form of the Noble Map Pack, which contains three new maps and will cost 800 MS Points when it will appear on November 30.

Now, in order to keep gamers interested in Halo: Reach, Bungie delivered on its promise to raise the level rank cap after Halo player completed over 117 million daily and weekly challenges.

Players will now be able to move past Lieutenant Colonel Grade Three rank, and earn more credits which they can use to get new stuff from the game's Armory.

"Forty-nine days and more than a few million Challenges later, you’ve totally decapitated the Rank cap in Halo: Reach. That means there are now more [great] Rank and Armor options available in the Armory than ever before," revealed the studio in a blog post on its website.

Also, in order to help players grab the new gear faster, Credit Jackpots have been added.

"To help get you suited up into some hot new gear, we’re introducing huge Credit Jackpots for players who routinely finish their games. Because we love you and we want you to have nice things."

Last but not least, Bungie also took this chance to deny any rumors that a second rank cap will be included, saying that now players can access everything the Armory has to offer, if they have enough credits.
