It's obvious: 300 combined with Halo. And the point is...?

Seen Halo 3 ...Hundred, the video? If not, scroll down to the bottom of the article and see it, it's worth hearing Leonidas' hysterical voice again. But the video itself... not so impressive if you ask me.

I've seen the movie and it's a good one. I've played "Combat Evolved" and "2" of the Halo series and again, it's a good one. But the two don't mix, the way I see it.

Yeah, sure the Halo video is heroic and stuff, armies of futuristic flying machines gather to turn the skies black (not that they were blue or anything), but you see, that's practically it. Technology. Highly advanced technology.

In 300, Leonidas screams his lungs out to give his handful of men spirit. They, in return fight with all their hearts and win battle after battle: "Tonight we dine in hell!" What has that got to do with Halo 3? What does Halo 3 have in common with Sparta anyway? What, that Master Chief was the last of the SPARTAN team to survive?

The least they could have done was to take the parts with the mentioning of Sparta out. Aaa, but then what lines remained to be used? None, that's my point exactly, so they should have left the two alone, the way they are.

Bungie's Halo, on the other hand, takes place on a mysterious planet-like construct referred to as a 'Halo'. Two days before the story begins, Covenant forces launch an assault on the second largest human installation. They destroy it.

A single starship, the Pillar of Autumn, survives the alien onslaught carrying Master Chief (the equivalent of Leonidas...not). The only thing that the two have in common (again this is my opinion and I don't want to change anyone's point of view here) is that people led by Master Chief are outnumbered, just like Leonidas' men.

The part that I hate the most is where the narrator says "We Spartans descend from Hercules himself...taught never to retrieve, never to surrender..." while Master Chief loads up a grenade. They're not compatible...I don't know.
