Microsoft is planning to release a demo for the Xbox 360 version of the best FPS ever (some might say) Halo 3. This news came via GameInformer website, which got the information from undisclosed sources.

According to GameInformer, the demo for Microsft's FPS could be released sometime in the first half of 2007, a few months earlier than the official release date of the full game, which is expected to come out in late 2007.

Microsoft officials did not want to comment upon these rumors of a Halo3 demo. GameInformer goes further and speculates that if the demo will come out, downloading it will be charged, thing that never happened before on Xbox Live. The price speculated is around US$ 10.

The specific release date has not been announced yet, but as resulted from the Bungie official website, the exact release date will be announced in 2007. Little is known about the upcoming game, as Bungie, the games' developer, confirmed only some characters, enemies, allies, vehicles and locations.

Characters will include Master Chief, Cortana, Gravemind, Gunnery Sergeant Pete Stacker, who will fight against Convenant Grunts like Unggoy, Convenant Elites like Sangheili and Convenant Brutes.

Humans will be able to get around and defend themselves in vehicles like Warthog, Pelican Dropship and Pelican Gunship while Convenants will have available vehicles like the Banshee, Ghost, Phantom and Capital Ship.
