14 DAY TRIAL // Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez, who are engaged since early last year, are preparing for parenthood together. A rep for the actress has confirmed new reports that they are expecting.
TMZ broke the news of the pregnancy, citing inside sources as saying that Halle was 3 months along.
“We can confirm that Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are expecting a child,” a rep for the stunning actress tells Us Weekly.
“Sources connected with the actress and her fiancé, Olivier Martinez, tell TMZ Halle is around 3 months pregnant – based on the pics and some other facts we know... she may be a little further along,” TMZ writes.
It also says that the two already know they’re having a boy, as well as point out that this could have been the reason Olivier got so testy with the paparazzi just a couple of days ago, as he, Halle and her daughter with model Gabriel Aubry, Nahla, arrived at LAX.
As we also reported at the time, Halle kicked a paparazzo twice because he got too close to him and he was carrying 5-year-old Nahla in his arms. Halle had to restrain him.
In January last year, reports were saying that Olivier had proposed to Halle (which turned out to be true), having convinced her that he was the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
They were also talking about having children together, and even adoption if they would not become pregnant, insiders said.
“Halle would love to have more kids, but she knows it might be difficult because of her age and the fact that she’s diabetic,” said one such tipster.
“If they can’t conceive, they’d definitely consider adoption. Deciding to marry again is huge for Halle. But friends have never seen her this happy and fulfilled,” the spy added.
As it turns out, adoption won’t really be necessary.
