The second quarter of the ongoing year should offer Orange UK customers the possibility to acquire a nice range of new smartphones on the airwaves of their wireless carrier, with the newly launched HTC ChaCha

, Desire S and Wildfire S being among them.

Hot on the heels of the official unveiling of these smartphones at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the wireless services provider announced plans to range them in the next few months.

“With today's news, the Orange brand continues to offer the latest compelling Android devices on the market,” Nicola Shenton, Head of Device Portfolio, Everything Everywhere said.

“The ChaCha, Desire S and Wildfire S will allow customers to enjoy the combined benefits of great functionality with a proven operating system for the best user experience.”

The new HTC ChaCha is meant to prove a great options for all users interested in staying connected at all times with their online social accounts.

The handset runs under Android, on top of which HTC loaded its own user interface, the popular Sense, and sports a dedicated Facebook button, through which users can easily share content or updates.

The specifications list of this device would include a 2.6” HVGA display, complemented by a QWERTY keyboard in a candybar form factor, along with a five mega-pixel photo snapper on the back, a VGA front facing camera for video calls, and more.

The second new HTC handset on its way to Orange UK, the Desire S sports a large, 3.7-inch touchscreen display, along with a five megapixel camera on the back with geo-tagging capabilities, and HD video recording 30fps at 720p, and a VGA front facing camera for video calling.

The smartphone also comes with 768 MB RAM, 1.1GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of aditional storage space, as well as with a SRS surround sound experience.

The new HTC Wildfire S comes with a 3.2” HVGA display, MicroSD card slot (up to 32GB), A-GPS, a digital compass, a 5MP camera with LED flash and video recording, gravity sensor, and other features more.

The wireless carrier did not unveil specific info on when would the HTC ChaCha, Desire S and Wildfire S become available for purchase, nor on their price tags, but said that they would be put on sale via Orange shops and online on its website.
