Verizon Wireless already has a wide range of high-end devices available for its customers, and it seems that it might soon launch some more of them, and that the HTC Vigor would be a great candidate for the job.

The smartphone was spotted into the wild a few times before, with highly appealing specifications packed inside, and said to be headed to Verizon with support for the carrier's LTE network.

While there have been various rumors regarding its name when made available for purchase, some of the latest reports on it suggest that the smartphone would be released as the HTC Rezound.

Apparently, the smartphone was already spotted in Verizon's systems under this name, though no specific info on when it might be released on shelves has emerged until now.

The handset spotted at Verizon as the HTC Rezound features the model number ADR6425, the same number as the HTC Vigor does. The device has received DLNA certification with this model number in tow, as well as other approvals, and has now made an appearance in Verizon's internal systems, which shows that it might not be too long before it is made official.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the new device is expected to arrive on shelves with a 1.5GHz dual-core application processor inside, and with a large 4.5-inch or larger touchscreen display, which should deliver an HD resolution.

The leaked specs list of this mobile phone also includes an 8-megapixel photo snapper, front camera for video calling, microSD memory card slot, WiFi and Bluetooth, GPS receiver, and the like.

Adreno 220 GPU will also be included into the mix, along with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and support for a great deal of applications and services.

For the time being, the new mobile phone is still only a rumor, but it should become official in the very near future, so keep an eye on this space to learn more info on it.
