T-Mobile is the carrier in the US that already announced the availability of HTC's Windows Mobile-based Touch Pro2, yet the handset is expected to soon become available via Sprint and Verizon as well. No official word on any of these possible releases has been said yet, but things should change in the near future, as both the Sprint and the Verizon versions of the device have recently emerged into the wild.

The Sprint-bound HTC Touch Pro2 can already be seen on Sprint's website, which suggests that the official announcement regarding its availability shouldn't take too long to surface as well. According to the UnwiredView, the device resembles the European and T-Mobile variants a lot, and will come with international quad-band connectivity capabilities, which means both GSM and CDMA.

Other specs on the phone should be already known by the majority of users out there, including its side-sliding QWERTY keyboard, the touchscreen display that boasts a 480 x 800 pixel resolution, the 3.2-megapixel photo snapper, the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, or other capabilities like the GPS receiver or the Wi-Fi. The entire specification list of the device can be found here.

As for the Verizon-headed flavor of the handset, it has just surfaced in a series of images showing it in action on ppcgeeks forum. There are no details on when the phone might arrive with this carrier either, yet the latest changes in Verizon's smartphone offering might suggest enthusiasts won't have to wait too long for it to be launched.

One thing that seems to have been confirmed is that Verizon will also release the HTC Touch Pro2 with a 3.5mm headset jack on board, something that the specs for the Sprint model don't seem to include. The video below, which surfaced on pocketnow, shows a few more details on the Verizon Touch Pro2, as well as on the much-discussed jack placed right next to the mini-USB port.
