The high-end Windows Mobile-powered mobile phone HTC Touch Pro2 is already available for purchase in the UK on Vodafone's Business website, after leaking out to some of the carrier's luckiest subscribers. While until a few days ago the HTC Touch Pro 2 (as Vodafone has it) could be seen on the website with the Coming Soon status, now it can be ordered online, and comes for free to those who would opt for a minimum £30.00 per month 2-year contract.

Not long after the device became available on Vodafone's site, Orange also went live with the purchase page for the HTC Touch Pro2 for its business customers, which means that those willing to acquire the device can now choose which carrier they would like to go with. The handset, successor of the popular HTC Touch Pro, is expected to come to the market with a wide range of new features and capabilities, while also offering users the option of upgrading to the next iteration of Microsoft's platform, Windows Mobile 6.5.

Those who are not yet familiar with what the HTC Touch Pro2 has to offer should know that the phone includes a 3.6-inch touch sensitive TFT display that boasts a 480 x 800 pixel resolution and features 3G+ / HSDPA, GPRS and EDGE connectivity, as well as Bluetooth capabilities. Furthermore, the device comes with a MicroSD memory card slot for additional storage space, and with a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard.

The feature list of the device includes Microsoft Active Sync, Windows Media Player, 3.2-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and video recording capabilities, Windows Live Messenger, Text Messaging, email capabilities, MP3 player and video streaming, as well as HTC's TouchFLO user interface. In addition, the HTC Touch Pro2 also packs a battery able to deliver up to 8.5 hours of talk time or up to 500 hours of standby time.
