Great news for CDMA network subscribers

Some new smartphones from HTC have been going by lately, showing that this company has more surprises prepared. One of them is a CDMA version of the recently released HTC Touch phone. This device will come under a new name, that of HTC Vogue, although it pretty much packs the same performances.

At a first look, HTC Vogue looks just like the new HTC Touch smartphone which has been unveiled recently. At a second look, it proves to be exactly HTC Touch, with the slight difference that it is available only for CDMA networks. That's a pretty smart move made by HTC in order to make this new mobile phone available absolutely anywhere with little efforts.

HTC Touch has long been seen as an iPhone killer device, a pretty appealing tag placed on it, considering the fact that few other devices have managed to live up to the challenge of competing with Apple's only phone. HTC vogue, just like HTC Touch, packs the same high performances, as if they were the same device, just under different names. Oh, wait, they are.

That's great news actually, as everybody will be able to enjoy what HTC Touch has to offer, no matter their network. You'll have the same 2.8 inch touch sensitive screen with evolved TouchFLO capabilities and 5-Way navigation control. Moreover, it will come with 240 x 320 pixels resolution and support for up to 65,536 colors.

There will also be a 2-megapixel camera and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity. HTC Vogue will also have Windows Mobile 6 Professional installed and come packed with a 200 Mhz processor.

Unfortunately, no specifications on the date when this version of HTC Touch will be available have been made until now, while the price should be just about the same as for the GSM version of this smartphone.
