Another day, another rumor regarding the availability of the HTC ThunderBolt on Verizon Wireless' airwaves, this time pointing at March 21st as the date when enthusiasts would have a reason to rejoice. Undoubtedly, this sounds like great news but, considering the long list of rumors on HTC ThunderBolt's landing on shelves at Verizon, we'll take the info with a grain of salt at the moment.

However, since the high-end smartphone was said not too long ago to have been delayed due to the arrival of the Apple iPad 2, its launch would fall within the expected time frame.

Not to mention that previous rumors suggested that Verizon would indeed manage to bring the 4G LTE smarphone before the end of the first quarter of the year.

The new report on HTC ThunderBolts' landing on March 21st comes from BGR, which cites “two independent sources.”

Moreover, the news site notes that the claim falls in line with a previous report that pointed at a March 21st release date that got listed on HTC's Facebook page.

All in all, nothing was officially confirmed on this for the time being, and there are great chances that things would actually turn differently.

The smartphone was expected to become available at Verizon ever since mid-February, with another targeted release date rumored at one point to have been set for March 10th, but the device is not yet available on shelves.

The wireless carrier confirmed recently that it encountered some issues with its 4G LTE smartphones, which caused the delay, but did not unveil more info on the matter (some suggested that the battery life would be the main issue here).

The HTC ThunderBolt should arrive at the wireless carrier as the first Android smartphone to offer support for its 4G LTE network, which was fired up in December last year.

The mobile phone was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas along with other similar devices, coming from companies like LG, Motorola, or Samsung.

Verizon did not announce specific release dates for either of them, but did commit to having them on shelves before the end of the second quarter of the year.
